Twitter is back online and appears to be operating regularly on desktop computers and mobile devices.
Thousands of people around the world have suddenly lost access to Twitter. At first, the issue only affected the website, but it eventually spread to the phone app as well.
Around 5:10 pm, Downdetector got hundreds of reports from Pakistan, many of which were from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, and various other nations. However, given that there have been reports from India and other nations as well, the issue looks to be widespread.
Users are currently having trouble logging into the social network and loading their Twitter feeds. The error notice below informs users who were already logged in that they are now locked out of their accounts.
Currently, it seems that the mobile version is operating a little bit more efficiently. Even when the connection is intermittent, tweets are still having trouble loading.
There has been no official statement from Twitter, and the cause of the outage is still unknown. As soon as there is any official news, we will update this section.
