A Scrum Master is a member of the Scrum Team who is responsible for promoting a productive and effective working environment as well as guiding others in understanding Scrum ideals, principles, and practices. Scrum Masters are people-oriented, have excellent emotional intelligence, and like assisting team members in their development. Our Certified Scrum Master® or CSM curriculum is a great tool to start if you want to be a Scrum Master, are implementing Scrum, or just need the tools to be more agile. You’ll develop a basic awareness of Scrum and explore how to put it into practice on your team and in your business.
Although there are no specific criteria for becoming a qualified scrum master, it is recommended that you have a basic understanding of the complexities and have some experience with the broader scrum process. The candidate must be aware of the product owner’s and development team’s respective duties.
To get certified, an applicant should complete a two-day CSM training with a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), followed by an online exam. With some committed self-study, this instruction is thought to prepare one for an exam.
The exam contains 50 MCQs, with 37 or more right answers (which is 74% marks) required to complete the certified scrum master certification [Ref.]. You can only take the exam once you’ve completed two days of practice. It takes roughly an hour to finish the test. You can take as many breaks, and pauses, and resume the test as you like. You may also skip topics or save them to come back to later. Throughout the test, the option to go back is always available. At the end of the test, you can review your bookmarked questions and submit your answer for the score. If you have left any questions unanswered after clicking the “ submit ”, a warning message may display. Your score will appear on your screen right away.
If you don’t pass the CSM certification in los angeles test the first time, you have 60 days to retake it. If you want to, you can retake the exam right away. If you fail the exam on your second attempt, you must pay a $25 exam fee to Scrum Alliance [Ref.]. If you’ve failed the CSM exam three times, Scrum Alliance recommends enrolling again.

A Scrum Master is necessary for the success of any agile development team. As a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), you’ll be well-equipped to coach your team and improve their chances of success. A Scrum Master is not a project leader or a project leader; rather, he or she is a “servant leader” who is dedicated to assisting the team in succeeding inside the Scrum framework. A Qualified Scrum Master has a variety of tasks, including assisting the team in collaborating and shielding the team from interruptions that can sabotage their productivity.
Scrum Alliance previously exclusively provided in-person classroom training for the CSM course. The idea was that in-person classes would allow students to engage with one another and with the instructor, resulting in improved learning. Scrum Alliance now offers live online education in addition to traditional in-person classroom training, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. All of the courses, such as the Certified Scrum Master course, are currently available in an online version. To become a Qualified Scrum Master, you must first complete a Certified Scrum Master® course from a Scrum Trainer who is certified.
