What is the NDA examination 2022?

The National Defence Academy or NDA is situate in Khadakwasla, Maharashtra near Pune. In 1954, the National Defence Academy came into existence. The main purpose of NDA is to train young cadets to turn them into military officers which can bring development in all three branches. Candidates who wish to join NDA can sit for this examination after passing class 12. The exam is conducted by UPSC. And the NDA examination is conduct two times a year. 

The Supreme Court of India has permitted Girl candidates to apply for the NDA examination. The training for lady Cadets will begin soon. The age limit for NDA examination is 16 to 19 years. The mode of the application is online. The application fee is Rs 100. 

Examination Pattern of NDA examination 2022

The examination is divide into two stages: 

A written test, which is conduct in offline mode, and SSB Interview. And this exam has two papers namely, Paper 1 Maths, and Paper 2 GAT. There are two languages used in this exam: Hindi and English. There are a total of 150 questions on the GAT paper and 150 questions on the maths paper. The GAT paper is 600 marks and the maths paper is 300 marks. These two papers are part of the written exam of a total of 900 marks. The SSB Interview is also 900 marks. The time duration for GAT and Math examinations is two hours and 30 minutes. The question pattern of the Written exam is Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). In the GAT exam, a negative marking of 1.33 marks on the wrong answer is followed and in the Math exam, 0.83 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.

What is the CDS examination 2022? 

The CDS stands for Combined Defence Services Examination which is conduct by UPSC. The CDS examination takes place two times a year. In February and November, this national-level exam is held. The CDS examination aims to select candidates for officer posts at Air Force Academy(AFA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), and Indian Naval Academy (INA). The CDS examination is categorise into three stages: Written exam, SSB Interview, and Medical Treatment. There are 400 vacancies in Combine Defence Services (CDS).

 

Under the CDS instructions. It is state that the candidate applying for the CDS examination must be physically and mentally active. And if a candidate who has resigne from the training grounds of the Armed forces is not allow to apply for CDS Examination. Any permanent tattoo on the body and face of the candidate is not acceptable in the CDA examination.

Some Rules for Sitting in CDS examination 

The candidates who aspire to sit for this exam should be unmarried and a citizen of India and the candidate can also be a subject of Bhutan or Nepal. And the candidates who are shift permanently to India and are also of Indian origin can also apply for this exam. The people who migrate from these countries – the United Republic of Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Zambia, Burma, Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Pakistan, Zaire, and Vietnam are allow to apply for the CDS examination.

To get any post in the Air Force Academy, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in which maths and physics is the mandatory subject or the candidate must have a Bachelor’s in engineering branch from any recognize university or institute.
